What we cover
Every cast iron and carbon steel piece is warranted for as long as you own it against cracking, warping, and defects in casting or manufacture. If a pan fails in one of those ways, we replace it. That is a manufacturing failure and it is ours, whether it happened in month one or year twenty.
Handles that come loose at the rivet, lids that never seated properly, a hairline crack that appears under normal cooking heat — all covered.
What we don't cover
- Rust from storage. Iron left wet will rust. It is not a defect and it is almost always reversible — see care & seasoning, or write to us and we'll walk you through it.
- Thermal shock. Plunging a 500°F pan into cold water can crack any casting. Let it cool first.
- Open-flame damage to non-fire pieces. The Live Fire range is built for coals; a tri-ply saucepan is not.
- Ordinary wear on wood and leather. Boards, aprons, gloves and handle sleeves are covered for two years against defects in materials and workmanship, not against being used.
- Pieces bought secondhand or from an unauthorised reseller.
Seasoning is not a warranty matter
Seasoning is a consumable layer that you build and rebuild. Patchy, flaking or stripped seasoning on a pan that is otherwise sound is not a defect — it's a Tuesday. Strip it back and season it again and the pan is as good as the day it shipped. We will happily talk you through this; we just won't replace a pan for it.
Making a claim
Email support@stradairon.com with your order number and a photograph of the problem. We don't require the original receipt if the order was placed with us — we can look it up. Most claims are resolved in a single exchange of emails.
If it's covered, we ship a replacement free and you don't need to return the failed piece unless we ask. If we do ask, we pay the postage.
Your legal rights
This warranty is offered in addition to, and does not limit, the rights you have under applicable consumer protection law. Nothing here affects your statutory rights.
