The free-shipping threshold is calculated on the merchandise total after any discount and before tax. Shipping itself is never discounted.
Dispatch
Orders placed before 2pm ET on a business day leave the same day. Anything after that, or at a weekend or public holiday, goes out on the next business day. You get a tracking number by email the moment the label is scanned.
Heavy items
Several pieces — the Fire Bowl, the 24″ Fire Grate, the Cooking Tripod and the End-Grain Block — exceed 15 lb and ship on their own tracking number. If you order one alongside smaller items, expect two parcels arriving a day or so apart. You are not charged twice.
Delivery
We ship with UPS and USPS depending on weight and destination. Signature is not required by default; if you'd like it added, reply to your confirmation email before dispatch and we'll arrange it at no charge. We cannot redirect a parcel once it is in the carrier's network — you'll need to use the carrier's own redirect tool with the tracking number we sent you.
If something goes wrong
If tracking hasn't moved for five business days, or a parcel is marked delivered and isn't there, email support@stradairon.com. We open a carrier trace and, if it isn't resolved within eight business days, we reship or refund at your choice. You are not made to wait on the carrier's timeline.
Iron is heavy and boxes occasionally take a beating. If a piece arrives damaged, send a photo of the box and the item within 14 days and we'll replace it — no return needed for anything that arrived broken.
International
We currently ship within the United States only. We are working on Canada. If you're outside the US and want to be told when we open up, join The Iron Letter.
Taxes
Sales tax is calculated at checkout where we are required to collect it and is shown before you pay. The price you confirm is the price charged — there are no separate fees added afterwards.
